The Young Researchers Group of CLUNL is pleased to announce that the 20th Forum for Linguistic Sharing will take place on 17–18 April 2026, in a hybrid format (on-site and online).
This Forum provides a space for young researchers in Linguistics to present and discuss their work among peers. This year, in addition to oral communications by Master’s and PhD students, undergraduate students are also invited to submit proposals for short oral presentations.
The best-evaluated papers will be considered for the following awards:
- Oral communications: CAIDI Award– Best Linguistic Sharing (200 EUR)
- Junior oral communications: CAIDI Award– Best Junior Presentation (50 EUR)

CALL FOR PAPERS
1. Types of submission
- Oral communication: for Master’s and PhD students (non-PhD holders).
- Junior oral communication: for undergraduate students only.
2. Areas of study
Abstracts should fall within one of the following subfields of Linguistics:
- Language acquisition
- Phonology
- Lexicology
- Lexicography
- Text and discourse linguistics
- Computational Linguistics
- Educational linguistics
- Historical linguistics
- Morphology
- Psycholinguistics
- Pragmatics
- Semantics
- Syntax
- Sociolinguistics
- Terminology
3. Submission guidelines
- Each author/co-author may submit only one abstract.
- The PDF file must not contain any identifying elements (name, affiliation). Self-references should be replaced with “XXX”.
- Abstracts must not exceed 1 page, with margins of 2.54 cm, Times New Roman 12 pt, justified, single-spaced.
- The title should appear at the top of the page, bold and centered.
- References (3–10), following the APA style, should appear on a separate page, which may also include annexes (tables, figures, examples).
- Abstracts may be written in Portuguese or English.
- Submissions must be made by 18 January 2026, via this form.
4. Presentations
- Oral communication: 20 minutes presentation + 10 minutes discussion.
- Junior oral communication: 10 minutes presentation + 5 minutes discussion.
5. Evaluation
All abstracts will be reviewed by a scientific committee composed of senior scholars. The evaluation criteria include:
- Robustness of theoretical framework
- Adequacy of methodology
- Relevance and originality
- Clarity of writing
- Quality of argumentation
- Relevance of references
6. Registration fees
- Authors of accepted papers: 20 EUR
- CLUNL researchers and NOVA/FCSH students: exempt
- Undergraduate students (junior oral communications): exempt
7. Important dates
- Abstract submission deadline: 18 January 2026
- Notification of acceptance: last week of February 2026
